HumiSeal Strengthens Product Portfolio with Introduction of 2C51 – A Dual Use Conformal Coating and Potting Material

HumiSeal® is pleased to announce the release of a new two-part silicone conformal coating and potting material.   2C51 is a versatile, fast curing, and high dielectric strength material that can be tailored to the users’ application methodology.  

The 2C51 provides superior protection as a conformal coating or if used to fully encapsulate the PCB.   A simple 1 to 1 mix ratio assures accurate blending of the two parts, while its two color part packaging allows for easy verification of complete mixture.   The 2C51 autocatalytic cure enables curing without applied heat, although it can be accelerated with a mild temperature increase.  Full cure can be achieved in 30 minutes at 70oC or 60 minutes at room temperature.

The cured 2C51 is a transparent film with slight blue tint visible at higher thickness levels.   Strong dielectric properties will provide unmatched circuit protection.   This new 100% solid material with zero grams per liter VOCs enables an environmentally friendly application.

Chase Corporation Acquires Resin Designs, LLC

Westwood, MA — October 3, 2016 – Chase Corporation (NYSE MKT: CCF) announced that it has acquired Resin Designs, LLC (“Resin Designs”), an advanced adhesives and sealants manufacturer, with locations in Woburn, MA and Newark, CA. In the most recently completed calendar year, Resin Designs had revenue in excess of $11,000,000, with results expected to be accretive to Chase Corporation’s earnings. The business was acquired for a purchase price of $30,435,000, pending any final working capital adjustment and excluding acquisition-related costs. As part of this transaction, Chase is acquiring all working capital and fixed assets of the business, as well as entering into multi-year leases at both locations. The purchase was funded entirely with available cash on hand

HumiSeal® Announces Revolutionary Masking Materials for Conformal Coating Applications

HumiSeal®, a leading conformal coating manufacturer has announced the global launch of its entirely new range of masking products.  Available globally in a wide range of sizes, the product is available in tape or dot format and addresses many of the common issues normally associated with effective and reliable masking.

The semi-transparent masking tapes and dots are made from a polyester film coated with a silicone free adhesive designed for fast and accurate application. A high surface conformability ensures there is no leakage under the tape the advanced adhesive ensures that it easy to remove leaving no residue and a clean, sharp edge between the coated and the masked area.   Extensive evaluations have ensured that the new range of products meets PCB manufacturing needs.   The latest materials are also silicone free to avoid de-wetting around masked areas.

ISO/TS 16949 is the global technical specification and quality management standard for the automotive industry. HumiSeal®, a leading conformal coating manufacturer announced that BMW has approved UV500 for their Qualified Products List (QPL) following testing to the BMW GS-95011 test standard. Chase Corporation Acquires Specialty Chemical Product Lines

Bridgewater, MA – February 2, 2015 – Chase Corporation (NYSE MKT: CCF) announced that it has acquired two product lines from Henkel Corporation, a leading global manufacturer of adhesives with North America Operations headquartered in Rocky Hill, CT. The businesses were acquired for a purchase price of $33.3 million, excluding any working capital adjustments and acquisition related costs. As part of this transaction, Chase is acquiring Henkel’s Microspheres business, sold under the Dualite® brand, located in Greenville, SC, as well as obtaining exclusive distribution rights and intellectual property related to Henkel’s Polyurethane Dispersions Intermediates business, currently operating in the Elgin, IL location. The purchase was funded entirely with available cash on hand.

HumiSeal® 1B51NSLU is an air drying, single component, synthetic rubber conformal coating that contains safer solvents that are more environmentally friendly than traditional solvents. Because of its unique base polymer, HumiSeal® 1B51NSLU has extremely low moisture vapour permeability and demonstrates excellent flexibility making it suitable for applications where thermal shock is pervasive. It also minimises stress on components and fluoresces under UV for ease of inspection and repair should rework be necessary.

The company continues to invest in technology, and as a result, will be introducing two new series of UV materials – UV50 and UV500. These new products mark a significant milestone in the ability of coatings to meet the increasing demands placed on more challenging performance standards, especially in the automotive industry.
